We loved Yankeetown from the first day. We loved it so much, we want to share it with our friends. To do that, we’ve designed a renovation of the Izaak Walton Lodge with some enhancement and amenities—things that will be good business investments and good for the community, too.
Built into our plan is the absolute commitment to conserve natural resources and preserve the sense of community and heritage that we immediately loved.
In the rest of this site, we detail the various plans, techniques and technologies we believe are essential to environmental preservation and economic sustainability.
As part of the plan, we’ve included a stormwater management system and a central wastewater treatment system to protect the river.
Our partnership is renovating the restaurant as the first phase of the Izaak Walton Lodge and Marina development. Plans for additional investment include a bed and breakfast, general store, art gallery, residential units, wet slips along the riverfront, and a boat storage facility. We believe that the restaurant and lodge will again become a destination for Florida residents and the seasonal visitors who come to boat, fish, vacation, shop and relax along the serene Withlacoochee River, while Yankeetown residents will continue to enjoy year-round access to the waterfront.
We’ve designed this project to be a credit to the community.
